Outfitter kicks off summer music

Music at Saluda Outfitter’s newly opened bar—Green River Eddy’s Tap Room—is held Saturdays on the outdoor deck at 435 Main St., Saluda, NC. Most hours are 5-8 but stay tuned for additional hours throughout the summer. Call 828-848-0460 for information.

May 5 | 5-8 p.m. Indigo Roots band members Becky Osteen, Bob “Buck” Buckingham, and Professor Dave McCurry will bring their acoustic blues and Americana roots genre to the deck. Buckingham plays guitars, mandolin and vocals with Osteen on upright bass and McCurry on harmonicas. Their music is influenced by the Appalachian Piedmont region. May 12 | 5-8 p.m. Second Souls Gritty originals, eclectic covers, rhythms and grooves! Consisting of a group of rotating musical talents from the local area, including some Saluda residents, you will definitely “get your mojo workin’” with this group. May 19 | 5-8 p.m. Bob & Amy Buckingham will share some “ole time music” and bluegrass to get the crowd moving. Playing acoustic guitars, the couple offers some toe-tapping vibes and will share some other own songs from their album Chickens in Paradise. No Facebook page but catch them on YouTube.

May 26 | 3-5 p.m. Alex Saunders will join us once again for an evening of original music and song. If you missed Alex April 28, you are in for a treat. His digital album Tumble Weed released in January 2018 is available at alexsaunders.bandcamp.com. In addition to the title song, Saunders will perform “Carolina Way,” “Movin’ On” and other selections from his album. https://www.facebook.com/llmalex/

May 26 | 5-8 p.m. The duo of Mark n’ Brian are Mark Cantrell from Spartanburg’s The Rockafellers with classic rock, funk, blues and Brian Lewis from Blind Manifest, a North Carolina cover band ranked in the top 25 nationally. The Charlotte based duo https://www.facebook.com/MarkNBrian/

June 2 | 5-8 p.m. Izzi Hughes is a talented youngster from Hendersonville who writes and performs her music to “inspire” her generation and others. Talented on guitar and piano, she writes, performs and records her own music. https://www.facebook.com/izzihughesmusic/
